Woodlands Valley Waterfall Walk

A walk along the lesser visited Woodlands Valley to the north of Kinder Scout with a waterfall dip on the way.  You’ll learn how to read moving water, what to think about when choosing a swim spot in the wilds, how to immerse in cold waters and what you need to consider when you’re an hour or so from civilisation and taking a dip. We always walk at a pace that’s suitable for the whole group so please don’t worry about being left behind. There’s plenty of opportunity to stop and enjoy the view and chat along the way. The walk is around 7km with an elevation gain of 300m and we’ll be out for around 4 hours. Suitable for complete beginners to wild swimming as well as those looking to expand their outdoor swim journey. This is a slightly more challenging walk than my Three Shires Head session due to it’s length and steeper climb. The walk is on hill/moorland footpaths at all times and there will be some areas of uneven ground.

Cake and a recommended packing list included. Water shoes, gloves, changing towels also available for anyone who doesn’t yet have their own. Maximum 6 participants. £40pp

Ages 14-17 welcome but must be accompanied by a paying adult. No under 14s
